Upon your arrival at the airport an English-speaking Explore-Kenya representative will greet you at customs and immigration. The representative will be holding a clearly marked page board with your name on it as you exit the arrivals hall. This representative will walk you through your welcome package documents and itinerary, and they will answer any questions you may have.
The representative will also facilitate the visa process for you. After completing the visa process, you will continue to the baggage claim hall and passenger pick up. Here you will be met by your driver for a private transfer to your hotel.
After arriving at your hotel, you will have the option to visit local shop and restaurants or relax at your hotel.

Your skilled guide will take you on an afternoon game-viewing drive through the arid Samburu desert region. Keep your eyes open for rare game like grevy zebra and reticulated giraffe. You will find rare species here that do not exist farther south in Kenya, simply ask your guide.

Join your expert guide and set out on yet another game drive in Samburu. Your safari adventures are scheduled in the early morning hours, as well as in the late afternoon, when the bush activity is at its peak. It's a perfect time to search for game, big and small, and soak in the mesmerizing scenery of Kenya.
The Samburu area is home to many warrior villages. Stop at a local village along the way to learn more about Samburu culture, warriors, history and the way they live. It is a great chance to buy some local souvenirs to support the local community.

This morning you'll meet up with your guide and head off to Lewa. The drive through the fertile highlands and the semi-arid frontier of Kenya. It's breath-taking and great way to see the countryside. The drive will be about two hours.

Your private guide will take you from Lewa Conservancy to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. This drive will take approximately two hours and 30 minutes.
Come and learn about the endangered species of Ol Pejeta. Here, guests have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to come face to face with last female northern white rhinos, and learn about their journey to Kenya from the Czech Republic. The 700-acre endangered species enclosure also protects small populations of Grevy’s zebra and the Jackson’s hartebeest.
Where you’ll be staying
Today you’ll enjoy game viewing in Laikipia private reserve with your skilled guide. You can stop for a visit at the chimp sanctuary. Drives are typically done in the morning at 6:30am for a few hours, and 3pm for a few hours, since the animals are most active at dawn and dusk.
Enjoy afternoon game viewing in and around the Laikipia region. The area has more endangered mammals within its borders than any other area in East Africa. Half of Kenya's black rhino resides here, along with other endangered and northern species: Northern white rhino, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, reticulated giraffe and silver backed jackal. Just imagine what you'll see!

Your guide will pick you up in the morning where you will travel to the nearby airstrip for your return to Nairobi. This short domestic flight departs from Masai Mara and arrives at Wilson Airport in Nairobi, Kenya. Approximate flight duration is 45 minutes.

When you arrive in Nairobi, you will have the opportunity to explore the local markets and shops so you can interact with the local vendors in search for the perfect handicraft or souvenir for yourself or your loved ones. Your guide will let you know what time you will need to be prepared to depart for the airport. Traffic can get tricky so it is recommended to be prepared to arrive at the airport early!
When you are ready to depart your hotel for the airport, a private transfer between your hotel and the airport is provided. Your guide will help you navigate the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to ensure that you have stress free and timely departure. Remember to take plenty of pictures and share them with us!

Set on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River in Samburu National Reserve surrounded by doum palms and other beautiful indigenous trees and shrubs sits this small and exclusive camp of 12 luxury tents. All tents are furnished in rustic African style while offering all the comforts expected of a luxury Camp (hot & cold running water, electricity and herbal products). The lounge and dining area offer vibrant safari colours with original oil paintings, soft intimate lighting designed to relax guests returning from an exciting game drive.
The tented, open-front lounge faces the river and provides a choice of comfortable sofas and armchairs. You can also watch the river from the dining area, the hammocks hung between the trees or the seating on the riverbank. Huge herds of elephant, prides of lion or the solitary leopard amongst other game are regular visitors around the camp providing excellent game viewing in spectacular scenic background of rugged rolling hills.

Lewa Safari Camp places exceptional emphasis on the earth and surroundings. The safari camp manages to relay its plans for a genuine relationship between man and his peers and the wildlife some of us have never before encountered. The camp sleeps 26 guests in its 12 tented rooms, and was recently host to Prince William and Kate Middleton, on a royal vacation.
Meals are taken in the dining tent and occasionally in the bush, with the most luscious of homegrown fruits and vegetables accompanied by tender meats. Take advantage of the in depth knowledge offered by hosts, who will share their expertise and understanding of this environment. Try something different and enjoy the region’s breeze while on a horse and camel safari.

Alex Hunter’s Ol Pejeta Bush Camp is set along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro river in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy in the south of the Laikipia region. Low-key East African authenticity is the hallmark of the camp, and the six tented suites are comfortable and full of character. Of the six rooms, three can be triples and three are doubles or twins; all come complete with warm blankets for the winter mornings, re-chargeable solar lights and an en-suite bathroom with safari bucket showers and flushing toilets.
Thatched roofs offer a cooling shade and private verandas with safari chairs offer the perfect place to while away an afternoon. The two mess tents are cool and breezy and offer dining areas with impressive views of the wildlife at the salt lick on the opposite bank.
